Over 2.5 lakh Cases Brought Under Case Management System

To ensure justice in land revenue and civil cases, land cases are being managed through Case Management System (CMS) in 61 districts across the country. Through this system, land revenue and civil cases are being disposed of quickly. It is expected that the number of pending cases will be reduced by bringing the courts and land offices on the same digital platform through this system.

These were shared by concerned at a workshop titled “ALAMS Involvement in Implementing Revenue Case Management System” held today in the conference room of the Bhumi Bhaban in Tejgaon, Dhaka. The Land Secretary Md. Khalilur Rahman was present as the chief guest. Also present was Anis Mahmud, Director General of the Land Records and Survey Department.

The Land Secretary informed that on June 8, Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda inaugurated the Case Management System in Dhaka district. Subsequently, following the minister’s directive, this system was launched nationwide in a very short time. The secretary further stated that through this system, preparation and submission of statement of facts and documentation and disposal activities are being closely monitored online regularly. He mentioned that 100% of land revenue and civil case activities will be conducted through the CMS system.

The workshop was also attended by Additional Secretary (Field Administration and Development) of the Ministry of Land, Ziauddin Ahmed NDC, Additional Secretary (Budget) Saima Yunus, Joint Secretary (Law) Md. Khalilur Rahman, and other officials from the Ministry of Land, the Land Reforms Board, and various levels of field administration. Additionally, consultants from ALAMS, managed by the DKMP wing of the Ministry of Land, and representatives from the Land Services Digitization Vendor Organization participated.

Notably, so far, in total Nationwide Over 2.5 lakh Cases Brought Under Case Management System. 57,610 revenue cases have been brought under the CMS system. Of these, 28,168 cases have been resolved, while 29,442 cases are ongoing. On the other hand, 194,046 civil cases have been brought under the CMS system. Of these, 13,503 cases have been resolved, while 180,543 cases are ongoing. Four types of case activities are being conducted through the Land CMS: civil cases, land revenue cases, appeal cases, and administrative cases. The address of the CMS system is https://case.gov.bd .
